I had surgery on the right side of my face recently which left me with 10 black – thread stitches. Someone approaching me from the other side would not see this, the evidence of my pain. When we decide to judge someone, we cannot see everything that has caused him or her to be who he or she is. With that in mind, I would like to spend a few paragraphs on a very important topic – abortion.

Saying that some women die because they cannot get an abortion is true. But to say that all abortion should be legalized for this reason is false. To say that people with cancer should have access to marijuana to help them is true. To use this as an excuse that everyone should have it is false. It is like saying since people heading to the emergency room of a hospital should be allowed to speed, then everyone should be allowed to speed.

Since 1980, there have been 1,400,000,000 (that is 1.4 billion) abortions globally. This is a world problem fed by free sexual relations outside of marriage. As well, there is a desire by some groups to correct the “too many people” dilemma.   When a species starts killing off itself (in any form) then it is doomed.

In some heroic stories of the past, the mother chooses to die so that her child may live. In society these days, the mother chooses to have the child die because it is an inconvenience. If I chose to kill everyone that has inconvenienced me, I would have very few family members or friends. Abortion is a crime so heinous that it is not even mentioned in the Bible, The Talmud, the Qur’an or the ancient writings of any religion.   Everyone knew it was wrong. Everyone.

Let me be clear. If you have been the man or the woman involved in an abortion, you understand what I am saying. This is not to condemn or judge you. All sins separate us from God. Mine and yours are no better or worse than any other. You are forgiven by the One who forgives all who come to Him.

I firmly believe that these dear ones went straight to Heaven after their lives here on earth were ended. Never having done a single wicked thing, where else could they be? We will hear 1.4 billion young singers welcoming us through those gates.   Now that is a choir I want to enjoy!
