What? August 2020
I don’t know what amazes me more, the timeline itself or the fact that I didn’t understand it. Just about everyone has heard about the rapture. Here is the order of events. Some people choose to believe that Jesus is who He says He is. In an undetermined moment in the future, He comes back close to Earth in the clouds and takes up all those people with Him, both the living and the dead. With the church people out of the way, Satan takes over the Earth.
The Devil starts with three-and-a-half years of peace and unrestricted, high living. Then the switch flips and on comes three-and-a-half years of a hellish existence. Next, and this is the part I didn’t realize, just seven years after we leave, all those who Jesus took up, come back. At that moment we will start living in an incredible, new, very-real world without tears or disease, surrounded by love, cooperation, majesty, light, and plenty for all. No, not for just 80 years, but for a thousand. (More later.)
From all that I have described, you can quickly realize that you and I don’t have any control over these things that are going to happen. Actually almost everything in our lives, the really big things, are not in our control either. Oh, there is a lot we can do to help our family, neighborhood, town, and sometimes even country. However, we just have to ride out the big challenges and do the best we can under the circumstances.
Good dog, shhh, shhh, shhh. You are going to wake up the neighbors. Sorry, I was dictating this article into my phone on my morning walk.
Both bookends of the news media, and even those in between, are constantly telling us stories that should cause us to be fearful. Sometimes they are right, but most of the time they’re wrong. Fear is unproductive except when we can do something about the cause of the fear. It is times like this, and situations like this, where a cool head prevails. It is harder to pray when we are locked in fear. We can even sound like a barking dog if we complain.
You are an individual. The one that giggles when I tickle you. When I call your name, you are the one that responds. God has a plan for your life. Yes, you. Some of it will be in happy times and some of it not. No matter the circumstances you find yourself in, pray hard for His guidance so that you can work His plan. That way, whether you go up with Jesus into the clouds tomorrow or go forward in this life until He arrives, you will be ready.

Bob is a Christian man who makes a living in real estate, serves at his church, and writes with passion about all in the world that impresses him. Surround by beauty, glory, and miracles it is hard not to write with gratitude because we are so blessed. A sunrise over the mountains, a perfect azure wave breaking with dolphins surfing through it, a piece of pecan pie with coffee, a grandchild's smile; who are we that God could so richly endow us with these pleasures?! Life is to love and share with others all that we enjoy. View all posts by aguynamedbobblog
