Not finding my glasses, I discovered I did not need them to pray. It was unnecessary to be in my room, have my Bible in hand, or a dime to my name.  I didn’t need my knees or my fingers folded.  For I have discovered that prayer is with me at all times, available as the perfect tool.  It is more portable than my car or my feet can make it.  Like a bicycle, I never forget how to ride with it.  It doesn’t care if the day has turned to night or the blue sky to a storm.  It prefers to be where it is and never complains about locale, hunger, fatigue, or necessities.  It just is and has no personal requirements beyond constant use.  Oh, to be like my prayer.  That He could use me as well and effortlessly as prayer is to me.
